Current, Voltage and power consumption measurement for 0 – 36V and 0 – 4.5A

I have found Adafruit INA219 panel a bit narrow band for my power supply and MIG welder so decided to went for a wider band measurement unit and found INA226 better suite from TI product range.

I will do a very similar PCB with the new IC and an other version will also be made for external shunt resistor with bigger allowed current flow (for eg. MIG welders typically around 50 – 200A).

I have calculated and average MSRP for the panels and they will hopefully cost less than 20€ for each.

  1. Do you have the one for an external shunt yet?

    1. Hi, there are currently just PCBs with a soldered-in shunt, but if you desolder the on-board shunt than it may be suitable for external resistors as well.
